This year the gardens will be open on the 2nd and 3rd October (the October long weekend) from 10am to 3pm, and the features of the garden include a maturing rainforest patch, many Grevilleas and some plants rarely seen on the east coast such as a large Eucalyptus caesia. Cost is $5 per person and all proceeds are donated directly to the Hunter Medical Research Institute.
